What Is The Walk-On Mentality?
The Walk-On Mentality is a performance coaching practice focused on building the physical capacity, mental resilience, and execution systems required to perform when it matters most.
Founded by Jackson Mitchell, a former walk-on athlete at SMU, the methodology is rooted in what it means to earn opportunity without entitlement. No guarantees. No hype. Just preparation, standards, and consistent execution under pressure.
This is not motivation.
This is not mindset fluff.
It’s structured, disciplined performance infrastructure, designed for real-world pressure.
Led by Jackson Mitchell
Jackson Mitchell is a former collegiate football athlete and team captain who experienced firsthand the impact of mental performance coaching on consistency, focus, and leadership. After transitioning into the high-pressure world of medical device sales, Jackson applied the same performance principles to healthcare sales environments, managing pressure, navigating high-stakes decisions, and sustaining elite output.
That combination of athletic performance and business execution shaped The Walk-On Mentality: a coaching practice designed to help individuals perform under real pressure, not ideal conditions.
